Jayne Marie Bigger
SKANIDA, MI- Jayne Marie Bigger, age 67, of Skandia, MI, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025. In her home, cared for her loving partner Steven Ball and Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.
Jayne was born on October 9, 19858, and was a lifelong resident of Marquette County. She spent over 30years as a dedicated and hardworking employee of Marquette General Hospital, where she was known by coworkers as a dependable, strong, and “though as nails,” yet warm and kind at heart.
In her younger years, Jane enjoyed , pool, fishing and later found comfort in quilting, puzzles and art. She especially loved horses and appreciated artwork that captured their beauty and strength.
Jayne will be remembered for her strong work ethic, loyalty, quiet resilience, and deep love of she held for her family
Jayne survived by her daughter, Marie Typhoon, and her cherished grandson, Dustin Keller Jr., lovingly known as “Little Guy”. She is also survived by Little Guys father, Dustin Sr. Other survivors are Steve’s daughter, Lani Cobb, her husband George Cobb, and their children, George and Jeremiah, whom Jayne embraced as family.
She shared more than 25 devoted years to her loving partner, Steve Ball, whose companionship and care were a constant part of her life. Jayne is further survived by her sisters, Joanne Dionne of Marquette, Peggy(Steve) Winters of Skandia and Julie(Melvin) Winters of Skandia.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Edward Lawrence Bigger Jr. and Gordice(Tolman) Bigger, as well and her brother, Paul Bigger.
A celebration of her life will be held April 25, 2026 at 11:00am at Community Covenant Church in Skandia, MI.
