Brian Keith Andresen
MARQUETTE, MI – Brian Keith Andresen, age 65, of Marquette, passed away on April 14, 2026, in the loving care of his family and the compassionate caregivers at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida.
Born on May 27, 1960, in Marquette, the son of Kenneth and Theresa (Sherbinow) Andresen, Brian was raised in Marquette.
Following high school, Brian moved to Colorado, where he worked for a short time in the mines as a heavy equipment operator. He later returned home to Marquette and continued the work he loved, first with Odovero Associates and then with A. Lindberg and Sons as a heavy equipment operator and proud member of Local 324. Brian dedicated 25 years to A. Lindberg and Sons before retiring in 2021.
Brian was a hardworking, kindhearted man whose smile could light up any room. Known by many as “Mr. Fix-It,” he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A natural tinkerer and true handyman, Brian loved working on Snowmobiles, He always had to stay busy and took pride in being able to repair and create.
He found his greatest joy in the outdoors. Brian loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time at camp with family and friends. He will always be remembered sitting around a campfire with a big smile and a beer in his hand. He enjoyed traveling all over the United States with friends and particularly spending winters in Florida with his better half, Julie. Together, Brian and Julie also shared a love of music and enjoyed attending concerts.
A devoted animal lover, Brian also found happiness in working in his yard and caring for the things around him. He was a fan of country music and especially enjoyed attending the Hodag Country Festival. He also had a lifelong love of racing and sports, including NASCAR, snowmobile racing, and Green Bay Packers football.
Brian will be remembered as stubborn in the best way, happy-go-lucky, warmhearted, funny, hardworking, and always on the go, a true go-getter whose generosity and good humor touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his better half of 38 years, Julie Whitney of Marquette; his daughter, Kelly Jo (Jeremy Weiger) Wilder of Marquette; his grandson, Hyde Whitney; his siblings, Kenneth (Nancy) Andresen, Lynn Parker, and Paula (Daryl) Van Abel; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Frank Parker; and his niece, Haley Van Abel.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Moffitt Cancer Center for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Brian in his final days.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the Marquette American Legion on Saturday May 16, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm
