Patricia Mildred (Hart) Meyers
MARQUETTE, MI- Patricia Mildred (Hart) Meyers, age 80 of Marquette, passed away on January 30, 2026, at UP Health System Marquette.
Pat was born in Detroit, the daughter of Lonnie and Mildred (Perry) Brassard and was raised in Marquette County. She graduated from St. Paul High School in Negaunee with the Class of 1966. Following high school, she began working in the dining hall at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base, where she was employed for three years. She later continued her career in civil service at the K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base Commissary, working there from 1967 until 1984. In 1985, Pat went on disability.
On October 17, 1986, Pat married Jack Meyers in Hawaii. Together, they raised their family first in Gwinn and later in Marquette, building a life filled with love, faith, and shared adventures.
Pat had many passions and talents. She loved cooking and was known as an excellent cook who welcomed everyone to the table, never leaving anyone out. She enjoyed writing poetry and even wrote letters to several U.S. presidents, offering thoughtful advice. She was a gifted artist, athletic in her younger years, and known for walking everywhere. Pat loved nature, the outdoors, and animals. She was proud of her red hair, admired for her intelligence and understanding, and remembered for her charming personality and strong work ethic. A natural motivator, Pat was friends with everyone and was liked by many.
A deeply religious woman, Pat carried a rosary and lived her faith daily. She and Jack shared a love for travel and joyfully visited Disney together 18 times.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Jack Meyers; her children, Bob (Robert) Stillman of Marquette and Roger Scott Burtenshaw of Gwinn; her brothers, Roger (Marsha) Hart and Glenn (Kathy) Hart; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather; Philip Hart, her aunts, Ilene Judith Perry and Evonne Perry; and her uncles, Raymond Perry and Ernie Perry.
Honoring Pat’s wishes, no public services will be held.
