Patricia A. Wester

Patricia Ann Wester

MARQUETTE, MI – It is with both heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Patricia Ann Wester, who left us at the age of 90.

She was a woman full of spunk, spirit, and determination. Her home was her pride and joy. She had a gift for cooking delicious meals that brought family together around the table. No one ever left her house hungry. She also loved flowers — tending to them, admiring them, and filling her home and yard with their beauty.

Pat was a member of the Marquette Golf Club for over 50 years. She and her husband Dick loved to play golf with friends and enjoyed many winters in Florida golfing during their retirement. Pat was also a member of the Summer ‘B’s ladies golfing group which brought many years of fun and laughter to her life.

Shopping was another one of her favorite pastimes, whether she was searching for the perfect outfit, a thoughtful gift, or simply enjoying the outing. She carried herself with confidence and grace wherever she went.

She had a spark that never faded — a little sass, a lot of laughter, and the kind of spunk that kept everyone on their toes. And yes, she was often fashionably late, arriving with a smile and a story, making an entrance that was always worth the wait.

We can’t forget to mention her beloved furry friends Sassy and Milton, who followed her everywhere she went. They too, were always prepared home cooked meals.

Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Her love was constant, her strength inspiring, and her presence unforgettable. Though we will miss her deeply, we carry forward her resilience, her humor, and her boundless love.

Patricia’s life was a blessing. Her memory will forever be treasured.

Patricia is survived by her children Teri ( Mike ) Kirkwood, Traci ( Mike ) Prunick and Chad ( Nicole ) Wester. Step-daughter Julie ( Brad ) Pickering, Sisters Joanne Cromell and Judy Patient. The family wants to thank Dr. John Bartlett, Kenn Hruska, Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice , North Woods Home Care and Hospice and the compassionate, caring, kind and genuine care of the amazing staff of Medilodge Munising.

A celebration of life and memorial will be held this spring.

She will always be remembered.
