Lee A. Roberts

Lee was born November 28, 1949 in Ishpeming to Marvin Charles and Doris Cecelia (Johnson) Roberts and graduated from National Mine High School, Class of 1967. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Coast Guard, having served from 1967-73. He married the love of his life, the late Susie Perucco, and together they raised their family in Negaunee.

Lee was employed as a carpenter with Carpenters Union Local #1510, his most recent position being with P&M Construction. He was a handyman who you could find helping others with building projects and fixing things.

Lee enjoyed spending time outdoors and riding his four-wheeler. An avid baseball fan, he cheered for the Detroit Tigers. More than anything, he loved being with his family, especially spending time with his granddaughters.

Surviving are his son, Eric (Jen) Roberts of Negaunee; two beloved granddaughters, Maddison and Ailey Roberts; his brother, James Roberts of Highland Park, MI; sister, Linda Roberts of Marquette; brothers-in-law: Al and Gary (Joanne) Perucco; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Marvin, when he was young; his Mother and Step-father, Doris (John) Nardi; his loving wife Susie in 2006; sister, Janet Adamini; and two brothers: Gerald (Fran) Roberts and Michael Roberts.

Honoring Lee’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held in Ishpeming in the Spring. His memorial page may be viewed at koskeyfuneralhome.com.
