Kerry S. Hurkmans-Wertman
OCALA, FL- Kerry was born on March 5, 1973, at Bell Memorial Hospital in Ishpeming, MI. She passed peacefully with her husband at her side on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, in Ocala Florida, at the age of 52.
Kerry was a kind and caring woman, and family was very important to her, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Kerry was married to Mark Wertman, the love of her life, on October 8, 1998, and spent nearly 28 years of marriage together. She had a passion for cooking, and enjoyed art. She loved her animals, and leaves behind two beloved dogs, Lilly, and Sugar.
She also enjoyed motorcycle touring across the country with her husband. Kerry was beloved by her family and friends, and she made a lasting impact on everyone who was part of her life, and will be missed dearly.
Kerry is survived by her dear husband Mark Wertman; her mother Marlene Vedder-Skoglund; her children Megan (Ricky) Arredondo, Dani Brink, Kassi Smith, and Austin Wertman; her three grandchildren; her brothers Nicholas (Kathy) Hurkmans and Clifford (Bobbi) Hurkmans; and numerous aunts, uncles, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William J. Hurkmans, and her stepfather, Walter A. Skoglund.
A celebration of life will take place at the Ishpeming township hall, February 28th, 1:00 – 3:00 to pay respects.
