Jeanette I. Mineau

GLADSTONE, MI- Jeanette I. Mineau, age 87, of Gladstone passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone with family by her side.

Jeanette was born on March 26, 1938 in Escanaba, Michigan and was a lifelong resident of Gladstone, aside from a short time in Milwaukee. She was the daughter of Cleve and Alice (VanDaele) Krout.

Jeanette was a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone, where she played the organ and sang in the choir for many years. She was an active member of the Gladstone American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.

She was treasurer, pasty maker and the “Taco Lady.” She recognized many people by their taco order.

In addition to raising her children, she was a waitress at the Log Cabin Supper club and a customer service representative at First Bank until retirement.

Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting. She made countless pairs of mittens, scarfs and afghans. She loved to feed the birds, squirrels and deer and watch them from her kitchen table.

She loved spending time with family, cooking big meals, laughing, and playing board games together.

Christmastime was her favorite season: spending many hours shopping and wrapping presents for all her family.

Jeanette is survived by:

Children: Mark (Tracy) Aicher, Jeffrey (Christy) Aicher, Robin (Chad) Abel and Jennifer (Jeffrey) DuVall.

Stepchildren: Clifford (Connie) Mineau and Mona Staup.

12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren

And numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins

In addition to her Parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by:

Husband: Robert “Bob” Mineau

Stepson: Roman Mineau

Grandchildren: Ryan Aicher and Tony Abel

Sister: Mary Alice Eldridge

First Husband: Rex Aicher

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian burial will follow at Noon at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. A meal will follow in the luncheon hall. Jeanette will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells, MI. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Mineau family.
