Dean G. Krieg
ALPENA, MI- Dean G. Krieg was born, the third child and second son, on April 17th, 1941, to Earl H. and Geraldine B. (LaBonte) Krieg, in Marquette Michigan. He entered eternal rest at home, surrounded by his family on January 29th, 2026.
Growing up Dean enjoyed skiing, hunting, tennis and sea scouts, forming lifelong friendships.
He graduated from Graveraet High School, where he met the love of his life, Mary Louise (Bucholtz). They were married March 24, 1962 in St. Peter’s Cathedral in Marquette. They settled in Milwaukee, where they had four children, Lisa (Mullen), Michael, Tammy (Mayhew) and Robin (Stevens).
Dean was a machinist, welder, millwright and entrepreneur. In 1976 he moved his family to Arizona where they owned and built many businesses, across multiple states. Over the years he called Grand Junction, Colorado, Marquette, Michigan and Saulte Ste Marie, Michigan home, always staying involved in his communities and civic projects.
Dean, is survived by his loving wife and children, 12 grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and his brother Tom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gerald, his sisters Carol and Peggy, and grandson Brawley.
