Kelly Madge Mary Shaw

SKANDIA, MI- Kelly Madge Mary Shaw, age 60, of Skandia, passed away on January 27, 2026, at her home.

Kelly was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Derek and Barb (O’ Leary) Crosby, she later graduated from Prince Andrew High School. After high school, she met Mike Shaw, and the two were married on May 2, 1987 and Together they built a life rooted in love, dedication, and family.

Due to Mike’s wrestling career, Kelly and Mike lived in many places around the world, but she never forgot about her Canadian roots and her family in Canada. With all the places her and Mike traveled, Kelly always had a special place in her heart for Canada. Throughout their travels, Kelly remained a devoted homemaker, raising their family with unwavering love and commitment. In the early 1990s, the couple returned to Mike’s hometown of Skandia, where they settled permanently and continued to reside following his retirement.

Kelly’s greatest joy was her family. She loved anything that involved spending time with them, especially supporting her children. She faithfully followed her son’s sporting events and cherished time spent with her daughter, Amanda. Kelly was deeply involved in her children’s schools and her community, volunteering extensively, including at the community center at Sawyer Air Force Base. She organized weekly spaghetti dinners for the high school football team before games and served as Head of Parent Teacher Orientation.

Kelly was known for being loving, determined, and fiercely devoted to her family. She was endlessly supportive and would do anything to provide for her children. She was also an animal lover who adored her pets, and she enjoyed quilting and crafting in her quieter moments.

Kelly is survived by her children, Joshua Shaw of Skandia and Amanda (Elisha) Brown of Foster City, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Faith Brown, Scarlett Brown, Jonathan Brown, Asher Brown, and Finnaginn Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Mike Shaw.

Funeral services for Kelly will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Chad Mager.
