Genevieve Hill
RICHMOND TWP., MI- Genevieve Hill, 78, of Richmond Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2026 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the care of her loving family.
Genevieve was born in Ishpeming to Hank and Ina (Taylor) Juchemich and attended Negaunee St. Paul Catholic High School. She had three children that were her pride and joy; Raymond, Wayne and Jeri, and raised them in Richmond Township. Genevieve loved to help others which lead her to pursuing a career in the healthcare industry.
In the mid 1990’s, she moved to Hawaii and fulfilled her passion working as a Nurse’s Aide at Queens Hospital. She made many lifelong friends on the island and always kept her roots close in the Upper Peninsula while she was away. Genevieve will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two sons; Raymond (Cindy) of Richmond Township, and Wayne (Becky) Hill of Palmer; son-in-law: Mark Augenstein; 8 grandchildren: Johnathon (Hannah), Jeremy (Esme), Danielle (Jason), Patrick (Yvette), Robert, Jackie, David (Dax), Angie (Joel) and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Mike and Steve; and four sisters: Beatrice, Terese, Valerie, and Lisa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Jeri Lee Hill-Augenstein; and three siblings: Mary, Gaydine, and Patrick.
The family wants to thank the staff at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility for the wonderful care Genevieve received over the last year.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Koskey Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Emmanuel Barwuah officiating. A pot-luck style luncheon will follow at the Richmond Township Community Club.
