Elaine H. Priuska

Elaine was born on December 4, 1928, in Negaunee, to Jalmer O. and Helen (Kiiskila) Riekki.

She married Wilho R. Priuska on June 17, 1950, in Palmer, Michigan. Elaine worked for many years as a seamstress at the H.W. Gossard Company in Ishpeming.

Elaine enjoyed long walks and shopping, and she had a strong love for animals. She was very active and generous, giving freely to organizations and charities close to her heart.

Elaine is survived by her very special friend, who was also considered family, Sue Hewitt and her family; many good neighbors and friends; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jalmer and Helen Riekki; her brother, Melvin Riekki; and her sister, Betty Anderson.

From Sue and her family, they would like to thank Elaine for being such a big part of their lives over the years. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A special thank you is extended to the staff of the Marquette County Medical Care Facility and Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Elaine. An additional thank you to Michele Kontio with RangeBank for all the help she provided.

Graveside services for Elaine will be held in the spring at the Negaunee Cemetery.
