Edward Hyttinen
RICHMOND TWP., MI- Edward Arthur ‘Eddie’ Hyttinen, 78, of Midway Location, passed away at home early Monday morning, December 22, 2025 while in the care of his loving family.
Eddie was born June 5, 1947 in Palmer to John Arthur and Marie Elaine (Miljour) Hyttinen and attended Negaunee Schools. Employed as an operator, he was a 50-year member of Operating Engineers Local 324.
Eddie was a member of the Richmond Township Community Club and the Teamsters Union. He was a people person who enjoyed having a good time.
Surviving are his three sons: Scott (Annette) Hyttinen and Terry (Nicole) Hyttinen, both of Ishpeming, Tom Hyttinen of National Mine; four grandchildren: Trinity and Gabe Hyttinen, and Allison and Adam Hyttinen; brother, Billy Hyttinen of Suomi Location; sister, Judy Gilles of Ann Arbor; special niece and caregiver, Teresa (Jeff) Mauldin; great-nieces, Brittany and Jessica Mauldin; great-great-niece, Hazel; great-great-nephew, Walker; longtime special friend, Steve (Robin) Liquia; and numerous other relative and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gloria and Annette; and his granddaughter, Cami Hyttinen.
A Celebration of Eddie’s Life will be held from 1-4 pm on Saturday, January 3rd at the Richmond Township Community Club.
