Patricia Ann Jensen

MARQUETTE, MI – Patricia Ann Jensen, age 88, of Marquette, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Patricia was born on March 15, 1937 and raised in South Marquette, the daughter of Henry and Irene (L’Huillier) Sievers and was a graduate of Graveraet High School. After high school, she married Thomas Jensen, and together they raised their family in Marquette. While raising her children, Patricia worked various odd jobs to help support her family, demonstrating the strong work ethic that would define her life.

Patricia eventually began a career at Marquette General Hospital, where she worked for 35 years. She was the hospital’s first patient transporter and took great pride in her work. Known for her dedication, Patricia rarely missed a day of work and was well liked and respected by both patients and colleagues. She retired in 2002.

Outside of work, Patricia enjoyed traveling and going on bus tours with her friends. She loved driving around all three freshwater lakes and never traveled alone, always bringing along her grandchildren or her beloved dogs. She found joy in working in her yard, shopping, dressing her best, and spending time with her grandchildren. Patricia had a spicy personality and a fun-loving spirit, maintaining many friendships.

Patricia is survived by her children: Jean (John “Doc”) Holliday of Ishpeming, Michigan; Deborah (Andy Van Linden) Christunas of Marquette, Michigan; and Renee (Brad) Merritt of Marquette, Michigan. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Patrick, Hank, Jimmy, Michael, Amanda, and Billy; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Thomas Jensen; four sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services for Patricia will take place on December 29, 2025 at Canale Tonella Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Services will be held at 12:00 pm with Pastor Chad Mager officiating, Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
