Lynn M. L’Huillier

MARQUETTE, MI- Lynn L’Huillier, 75, of Marquette, passed away on December 23, 2025, just two days before her favorite holiday, surrounded by immense love.

Born in 1950 as the first daughter of Calvin and Joan Zorza, Lynn was a 1968 graduate of Marquette Senior High School and lifelong resident of the Marquette area. In November of 1968, she married the love of her life, Vern L’Huillier. Together they built a beautiful life and raised three children;Jody, Randy, and Kevin. Lynn and Vern shared 46 years of marriage before his passing, a partnership marked by devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment.

Lynn’s heart was rooted deeply in family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, and nothing brought her more joy than caring for the people she loved. A homemaker for much of her life, she also worked at Cal’s Party Store, the family business, where her warmth and kindness touched many.

She had a passion for the simple joys that made life bright-Christmas celebrations, home-cooked meals, intricate cross-stitch projects, and memorable trips to Las Vegas. Over the years, she adored the many spoiled cats who shared her home. A loyal sports fan, Lynn proudly cheered for the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by three children, Jody L’Huillier, Randy (Pam Janofski) L’Huillier and Kevin L’Huillier, all of Marquette; Pam’s children, Holden & Harper; siblings, Sharon (Mike) Bonanni of Gwinn, Gregory (Kathy) Zorza of Gwinn, Joel (Gail) Zorza of Marquette, Bonnie (Bill) McCabe of Marquette, David (Mindy) Zorza of Marquette and Chris (Elizabeth) Zorza of Marquette; and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in the summer.

Lynn’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, care aides, phlebotomists, transporters, and every member of the UP Health System Marquette team who cared for her with such compassion. A special thanks goes to her favorite nurses – you know who you are – for the kindness and comfort you brought to her days. The family also offers a sincere thank you to Dr. G and Dr. Joe Steele, whose presence and care always made her days a little brighter.
