Celina Ayotte
ISHPEMING, MI – Celina Lynn Ayotte, Age 31, of Ishpeming, passed away on Sunday December 7th, 2025, at UP Health System – Bell from complications with pneumonia while surrounded by her loving family.
Celina was born on September 4, 1994, in Marquette, to Steven and June (Lakanen) Ayotte.
She grew up in Ishpeming Township and attended Aspen Ridge School. She cherished her teachers and found joy in the everyday sounds and conversations of the classroom. Listening to the children at school was one of her greatest pleasures; she truly enjoyed her time with them and the simple moments they shared.
Celina was happiest when surrounded by family and the lively bustle of home. Enjoying family gatherings and all the commotion around the holidays, especially the sounds of her nieces and nephews. She loved to sit on the front porch and listen to her family talk, soaking in their voices and laughter, or having one of them read a book to her. Unexpected noises coughs, sneezes, buzzers would send her into a laughter. Her sisters will miss their shopping trips and the simple moments spent listening to music or watching movies together.
Celina is survived by her parents Steven and June (Lakanen) Ayotte; sisters, April (Matt) Valela, Amanda (Jeff) Jacobson, and her twin sister Michelle (Peyton) Boyce; her nephews, Flynn and Brady; nieces, Paisley and Maleena; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Along with a host of brothers and sisters in faith.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Clifford and Margaret Lakanen and her paternal grandparents Arthur and Lillian Ayotte; her uncles, Daniel Lakanen and Danny Ayotte.
A funeral service will be held at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church on Friday, December 12th, 2025, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Speaker Don Johnson will be officiating. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the church. Pallbearers will be Edward Lakanen, Dave Lakanen, Jeff Jacobson, Peyton Boyce, and Matt Valela.
Celina’s family would like to give special thanks to the staff at UP Health System Bell for the wonderful and comforting care they provided.
