Carol Marie Adamisin

MARQUETTE, MI – Carol Marie Adamisin, from Interlochen, MI, passed away peacefully with her daughter Pam by her side November 26, 2025 at Mill Creek Senior Living Community in Marquette, MI after a three-year journey with Alzheimer’s. She had recently celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends, greatly enjoying the festivities.

Carol was born to Raymond and Carolyn Erving in Lincoln Park, MI on November 13, 1935. She married Robert ‘Bob’ Adamisin on August 4, 1962. Together they raised two daughters, Pamela (Larsen) and Terry (Phillips). Carol and Bob moved up north to a home her brother Donnie Erving built for them near their parents on Chateau Street in Interlochen.

A long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Interlochen, Carol had a strong faith in God and love for her church family. Never one to sit still for too long, Carol enjoyed frequent adventures ranging from trips across the country to dinner and theater. She was a lot of fun, so the phone was always ringing. Carol always seemed to be game for a good time with her many beloved friends. Whether they were knocking down bowling pins, playing cards or greedy dice, laughter was in abundance.

After retiring from Chef Pierre/Sara Lee, Carol took a decade-long part-time job at Michigan Community Blood Center. While she worked hard, relationships were paramount. Sharing precious time with her family at every opportunity was the priority. Whether a quick stop after work to drop off the paper or Saturday morning grandkid pancakes, her family was blessed with Carol’s presence and thoughtfulness through the years.

While Carol relished the adventures of life, she was equally steadfast through the hard times. Serving as the primary end of life caregiver for her father Raymond and later her husband Bob, she was intentional and yet flexible in dealing with life’s hardships through prayer and fortitude.

Survivors include daughter, Pam (Jim) Larsen; grandsons James (Marquela) Larsen, Jim (Sheila) Fite, Mark (Wen) Fite, Chris Fite; great-grandchildren Mordecai Larsen, Esther Larsen, Alex Heiselt, Carlie Jowers, James Fite Jr., Ivy Fite, Tyler Fite, Christopher Fite Jr.; great-great-grandchild Emalisa Jowers and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many, she was preceded in death by husband Bob; mother Carolyn; father Raymond; brother Donnie, daughter Terry; son-in-law Fred and grandson Rudy Ray.

A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Redeemer Lutheran Church located off US 41 at Rogers Road, Interlochen, MI. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to U.P. Home Health & Hospice. The family wishes to express sincere thanks and appreciation to all the caregivers at Mill Creek and U.P. Home Health & Hospice.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
