William ‘Billy’ Kurian
FORSYTH TWP, MI-William Michael ‘Billy’ Kurian, 64, of Forsyth Township, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday evening, November 11, 2025 while in the care of his loving family and Lake Superior Hospice.
Billy was born February 15, 1961 in Marquette to Joseph and Geraldine (Durand) Kurian, attended Negaunee Schools and then served in the Michigan Army National Guard. He was employed for many years with numerous asphalt paving companies. Billy married Deborah O’Neill July 31, 2004 and they enjoyed 21 years together.
Billy was a member of the Richmond Township Community Club and was a life member of Whitetails Unlimited. He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting and gardening. In more recent years, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah; daughter, Amanda Kurian of Sands Township and his granddaughter, Mariyah Jo Willis; siblings: Susan Racine of Harvey, Dale Kurian of McMillan, Noreen (Paul) Collins of Negaunee, Lori (Herb LaMere) Kurian of Negaunee, and Michelle (Mike Vial) Croschere of Coleman, WI; his mother-in-law, Maureen O’Neill; special cousin, Dennis Croschere; special friends, Doug Francis and Mike Willis; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved dog, Annabelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Todd Kurian; step-father, John ‘Jack’ Croschere; father-in-law, Michael O’Neill, Sr.; and two brothers-in-law, Michael O’Neill, Jr. and Walter Racine.
