Paulette Drake

She was born on April 11, 1944 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Eiseman) Card. Paulette grew up in AuTrain, and as a child helped make blocks with her dad at his cement company and spent time with him in the woods setting trap lines. She married Anthony ‘Tony’ Drake on February 8, 1970, and together they raised their four children. Paulette was talented at crocheting and knitting and won multiple trophies in her bowling league. Paulette and Tony built and operated the Frosty Swirl in AuTrain serving up sweet treats in the late 70’s and early 80’s. She held many odd jobs throughout life, but the most rewarding one was raising her four children and enjoying her grandkids. Paulette enjoyed playing cards especially Euchre with Phyllis Eiseman and friends. She was a member at St. Therese Mission in AuTrain where she was a member of the Alter Society, and she was a volunteer for elections in AuTrain Township.

Paulette is survived by her children ­ Kim (Jim) Steinhoff of AuTrain, Jeff (Caryn French) Drake of DePere, WI, Kristy (Bob Beauchaine) Drake of AuTrain, and Karen (Peter Silaghi) Drake of Key West, FL; grandchildren ­ Betty Jo, Jim (Jen), Kaitlin, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Kyle, Kody, and Westin (Stella); great-grandchildren ­ Ariana, Conner, and James; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents ­ Joe and Betty; husband ­ Tony Drake; sister ­ Mary Beth (Bob) Perry; brother ­ Timothy Card, and nephew ­ Todd Perry.

A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the AuTrain Community Building from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Paulette’s obituary and online guestbook may be viewed and singed at bowermanfuneralhome.net
