Kenneth Paul Remillard
MARQUETTE, MI-Kenneth Paul Remillard, age 84, longtime Marquette resident, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Mill Creek Assisted Living Facility.
Ken was born July 8, 1941, in Marquette, Michigan, a son of Eugene and Clare (Lequia) Remillard. He was raised in Marquette and was a lifelong area resident. Ken graduated from Graveraet High School, Class of 1959. Following graduation, he managed and tended bar at Remillard’s Bar in Marquette before beginning a long career as maintenance manager at Tourville Apartments, where he worked from the time they opened until his retirement, serving over 40 years.
Ken loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed time at the couple’s camp on Wolf Lake, where they later spent their summers in retirement. The camp was their pride and joy. He enjoyed four-wheeling with friends, hunting, and fishing – including memorable trips to Montana and Canada.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia, whom he married July 8, 1972; his son, Jesse Remillard; two sisters, Lois (Al) Greene of De Pere, WI, and Diane (Jay) White of Arizona; his brother- and sister-in-law, Andy (Ann) Freberg of Marquette; special friends Dena Posenke and Diane Hocke of DePere, WI; his special caregiver, Marnie Sipila; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Rose Tourville; and his nephew, Tim Greene.
Friends may call at St. Michael Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 26, beginning at 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jose Cherian, pastor, as celebrant. A reception will follow in the Parish Center.
