Jacqueline Hewitt

ISHPEMING, MI – Jacqueline Claire Hewitt, age 94, a longtime resident of Ishpeming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility, surrounded by the loving care of her family, Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice, and the dedicated staff of MCMCF.

Jacqueline was born in Monico, WI, on April 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Maronen) DeHart. Known to many as Jackie, she was a devoted mother and homemaker. She and her late husband, Kenneth, enjoyed traveling the country together and made lasting friendships everywhere they went. Jackie was a faithful member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

Jackie is survived by her three children: Kathy (Terry) Roberts of Ishpeming, Kenneth (Penny) Hewitt of Gwinn, and Diane (Earl) Wilson of Tehachapi, CA; her sister Jean DeHart of Ishpeming; her brother David (Jane) DeHart of Marcellus, MI; eight grandchildren: Beth (Norman) Stanaway, Luke (Erin) Roberts, Jarron Hewitt, Marshall Hewitt, Sara (Matt) Rondell, Heather (Christopher) Carlson, Rachel (Christopher) Rondell, and Patrick (Kari) Beyer; nine great-grandchildren: Norman, Charlotte, Violet, Rebecca, Benjamin, Brenna, Robert, Amelia, and Landon; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Hewitt; her daughter, Debra Beyer; her infant grandson, Erik Hewitt; and her brother, Charles (Barbara) DeHart.

Jackie’s family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon with Pastor Tim Johnston officiating. A luncheon will be held afterward in Pioneer Hall at Bethel Lutheran Church.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice, and to the staff of the Marquette County Medical Care Facility-especially those on the 200 wing-for the wonderful care and compassion they provided to Jackie.
