Gabrielle Jean Hansen

MARQUETTE, MI-Gabrielle Jean Hansen, age 38, of Marquette, known affectionately as Gabby to her friends and Gabe to her parents, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, in the loving care of her family, after a courageous struggle with metastatic breast cancer.
Born on May 16, 1987, the daughter of Randy and Barbara (Takalo) Trudeau, Gabby was raised in Marquette, Michigan, she was a 2005 graduate of Marquette Senior High School. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Environmental Sciences from Michigan Technological University, and later received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University.
Gabby dedicated her professional life to helping others feel their best. She began her chiropractic career in Gwinn and Harvey, and after four years of working for others, she realized her dream of opening her own practice, Nurture Spine and Wellness in Harvey.
On October 4, 2014, Gabby married the love of her life, Travis Hansen. Together, they built a warm and loving home, first in Marquette and later in Midland, Michigan, where they moved in 2018. In Midland, Gabby embraced her role as a homemaker and full-time mom, pouring her energy, heart, and wisdom into raising their three beautiful children.
Gabby had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. She loved gardening, hiking, skiing, running, and browsing thrift stores for hidden treasures. Her radiant smile, quick wit, and caring nature made her a joy to be around. She was smart, strong, and the heart and leader of her family.
She was a proud member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, MOMS Club, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland.
Gabby is survived by her loving husband, Travis Hansen, and their children Quinn, Evangeline, and Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Hansen, all of Midland; her parents, Randy and Barbara Trudeau of Marquette; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. She is also survived by her loyal canine companion, Walden.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arne and Frances Takalo, and her paternal grandmother, Adele Trudeau.
Visitation will take place at the Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation services on Saturday October 11, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Services will be held at 12:00 pm with Fr. Tyler Richard’s Presiding. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room.
