Frank Duane Parker

MARQUETTE, MI – Frank Duane Parker, age 64, of Marquette, passed away September 2, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family.
The son of Duane and Clarabelle (Parker) Parker, Frank was born on Otis Air Force Base in Bourne, Massachusetts, in the Cape Cod area, on June 12, 1961. He grew up living all over the world while his father served in the U.S. Air Force. Frank graduated from Marquette Senior High School and began his working career as a dishwasher at the Coach Light Restaurant. After a short time living in Arizona, he returned to Marquette, where he would build his life and family.
On November 7, 1986, Frank married the love of his life, Linda Andresen, and together they raised their family in Marquette. He worked at Pioneer Quick Lube for 38 years, where he will be deeply missed by coworkers, customers, and friends alike.
Frank was happiest outdoors, hunting deer and birds, fishing and ice fishing, camping, and spending time in the woods. He loved attending the Bark River off-road races, and he also enjoyed rock hunting. Known for his kindness, generosity, and easygoing nature, Frank was a true people person. He never lost his calm, made friends everywhere he went, and was always willing to lend a hand, often described as the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back. To many, he was not only a friend but also a father figure.
Frank is survived by his loving wife; his father, Duane Parker; his children, Frankie James Parker of Marquette and Michael (Amanda) Peterson of East Jordan, Michigan; and his grandchildren, Madison (Logan) Paulas, Lauren Peterson, and Tanner Peterson. He is also survived by his siblings, Liz Birmingham Parker, Tina (Mark) Brandle, Kris (John) Contois, and George Parker, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clarabelle Parker; his brother, Patrick Parker; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Frank will be remembered as a humble, kindhearted man who loved deeply, gave freely, and touched countless lives.
