Ellis Sutfin Sr.

Born January 26, 1939 in Webberville, son of the late James and Naomi (Jackson) Sutfin, Ellis attended Howell High School.

On June 30, 1962, Ellis married the former Ruth Paulson in Brighton, Michigan. Ellis was employed as a mechanic for the Department of Natural Resources for several years until his retirement. Ellis had been a resident of Naubinway since 1997 and, during his lifetime, enjoyed hunting, working on automobiles/machinery and woodworking.

In addition to his parents, Ellis is preceded in death by his son Stephen in 1964; great-granddaughters Aria and Nora Gribbell; siblings Jim Sutfin, Jennie Swiencki, Ella McClatchy and Frances Westphal.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth, of Naubinway; son Ellis Jr. (Melissa) Sutfin of Fowlerville and Michelle (Brent) Vallier of Naubinway; grandchildren Mikayla (Fred) Gribbell of Engadine, Timothy (Courtney) Vallier of Roseville, Zachary (Ashley) Sutfin of Vermontville, Nicholas Sutfin of Perry and Taylor Sutfin of Fowlerville; great-grandchildren Isaac Vallier, Levi Vallier, Vance Ellis Vallier, Owen Sutfin, Emilia Sutfin, Addisyn Gribbell, Ivy Gribbell and Rory Gribbell; siblings Leon Sutfin of Fowlerville and Earnest Sutfin of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews.

Per request, cremation services were accorded with no public services scheduled at this time.
