Patricia Rogers
NEGAUNEE, MI-Patricia D. Rogers, age 88, a longtime area resident, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Eastwood Nursing Center, while in the loving care of her family and the compassionate nursing home staff.
Patricia was born in Ishpeming on October 9, 1936, to the late Edgar Treloar and Ruby Champion. She began her working career at the age of 17 as a seamstress at the Gossard Building, where she worked from 1953 until 1976. After dedicating several years to raising her family, Patricia returned to work in the 1990s as a seamstress for American Airlines.
A talented and meticulous seamstress, Patricia found great joy in sewing and earned top honors in the annual doll-dressing competition. She cherished her craft and the creativity it allowed her to express.
Patricia is survived by her son, Lenny Rogers Jr.; stepdaughters, Roxanne Rogers, Lauri Retzlaff, Tammy Rogers, Kelly (Tom) Hodge, and Agel Grant; and her special angel, niece, Darlene Spencer, whose regular visits meant so much to her. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lenny Rogers Sr.; sisters, Jean Kallioinen and Dorothy Ross; and brothers, Eddie, Jim, Bruce, and Roger Treloar.
In keeping with Patricia’s wishes, cremation will take place, and no public services will be held.
