Mary Ellen Ries
MARQUETTE TWP, MI-Mary Ellen Ries, 67, of Marquette Township, passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 1st, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers at Lake Superior Hospice.
Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 2245 US-41 S, Marquette, MI. on Saturday, August 9th, at 4PM. She is survived by her husband of nearly 47 years, David Ries, twin daughters Jessica Ries and Julie Parhar, and son James Ries.
The oldest daughter of Jim and Ione Collins, who preceded her in death, Mary is survived also by her 8 younger siblings: Gina Pruzina ; Corrine Drom ; Ron Collins ; Richard Collins ; John Collins ; Teresa Collins ; Amy Germain ; David Collins.
Her whole life was about others, showing kindness and hospitality to so many brought her great joy.
