Linda Warner

NEGAUNEE, MI-Linda Sue Warner, 75, of Negaunee, entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at UP Health System in Marquette while surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 33-year battle with multiple sclerosis.

Linda was born August 13, 1949 in Ishpeming to Dayton ‘Tod’ and Shirley (Manuel) Kellan and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1967. She then earned her B.S. Degree in Education from NMU in 1971, and later earned her Master’s Degree. Linda was a longtime dedicated teacher for Negaunee Public Schools. She married LeRoy Warner on September 5, 1970 and they raised their family in Negaunee.

Mrs. Warner was a member of Marquette Hope Church ­ Mitchell Campus in Negaunee, and the National MS Society. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and wintering in Fort Myers, Florida following retirement. More than anything, she loved spending time with family and friends at the family camp on Lake George, Three Lakes.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, LeRoy; son, Lyle (Jaime) Warner of Ishpeming; daughter, Lisa (Terry Beaudry) Warner Barabe of Three Lakes; five beloved grandchildren: Joseph and Andrew Warner, Amelia McCormick, and Seth and Nash Barabe; and one great-granddaughter, Dawn Warner. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda’s family extends a special thank you to the staffs at Marquette County Medical Care Facility and UPHS Marquette for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held from 11-1 pm on Tuesday, August 12th at Marquette Hope Mitchell Campus in Negaunee. Memorial services will begin at 1:00 pm with a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Camp Michigamme and/or the National MS Society, nationalmssociety.org.
