Keith Delarye

ISHPEMING, MI – Keith Delarye, age 48, of Ishpeming, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, in an automobile accident. He spent his life living wild, crazy, and free-and he loved every minute of it.

Born in Marquette and raised in National Mine, Keith was the kind of kid who was always outside: camping, fishing, hunting, mudding with his buddies. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1995 and went straight to work, putting his hands and heart into everything he did-from the Marquette County Road Commission to Boss Snowplow and A&L Iron and Metal Company, and lastly Fox Subaru.

Keith could fix anything the person everyone called because he always had the answer. He built his own vehicles, sewed backpacks and tents, and tackled plumbing and electrical projects like a pro. He was a bear hunter who ran plott hounds, a tinkerer, a mechanic, and a man who never backed down from a challenge.

But more than anything, Keith was a family man. He met Isis in 1998, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Soulmates. Best friends. Jeep rides with no doors, no roof-just the two of them and the woods. They built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, raising four children and welcoming their grandson, Micah.

Keith loved big family dinners, camping trips, and making ribs on his Snap-on smoker. He loved exploring trails and teaching his kids the joy of hiking and mountain biking, it was one of his greatest pleasures. He had a soft spot for his dogs, especially Duke, and a blue Subaru cup that never left his side.

He leaves behind his wife and soulmate of 28 years, Isis; children David (Caroline Koskiniemi) Delarye, Dylan (Angelina Heinzman) Delarye, Connor (Ella Olgren) Delarye, and Katie (Aaron Bressette) Delarye; grandson Micah; a brother Roy Delarye; and sister Elisabeth Langsford; mother-in-law Justine Robinson; uncles Dale (Donna) Aho and Dennis (Pat) Aho; aunt Colleen Aho; his stepfather Pauly; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gale, and his best dog friend Duke.

Keith’s spirit was untamed, his love fierce, and his legacy unforgettable.

A funeral service will be held at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Friday, August 8th, with a public visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Vicar Robert Lake will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
