Wanda Adamczyk
NEGAUNEE TWP, MI-Wanda Anna Adamczyk, 100, longtime Detroit resident, most recently of Negaunee Township, entered eternal life Friday morning, July 25, 2025 at Eastwood Nursing Center.
Wanda was born March 3, 1925 in Detroit to Andrew and Mary (Golembeioski) Maniak. She grew up in Detroit where she met and married the late Alphonsus Adamczyk. They resided and raised their son, Robert, in Wyandotte. At the age of 97, Wanda moved to Negaunee Township to live with her family.
A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Wanda was also very dedicated to her faith. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, crocheting and was an avid baker.
Surviving are her son, Robert ‘Zack’ (Laurie) Adamczyk of Negaunee Township; grandchildren: Matt and Ali; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alphonsus in 1980; and two brothers and two sisters.
Interment will take place next to her husband at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit. Wanda’s family is thankful for the caring staff at Eastwood Nursing Center for their wonderful care provided.
