Robert Devine

Bob was born in Marquette on April 28, 1944, to Robert and Evelyn (Stevens) Devine. He was raised in Marquette and graduated from Graveraet High School with the Class of 1962. Following high school, Bob began a dedicated career with the Marquette City Fire Department, where he served for 29 years and retired with the rank of Captain.

A lifetime member of the Marquette Golf Club, Bob was a passionate golfer who enjoyed many rounds with his regular foursomes. Known for his great sense of humor, he was also an avid cribbage player and always appreciated an occasional Miller Lite with his buddies. Bob was a proud member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. He especially loved watching televised golf tournaments and followed the sport closely.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bonnie; his children, Mike Devine and his son Alex Devine; Stacey Devine and her son Andru Fisher; and Amber (Brian) Anderson and children, Ian (Morgan) Bell and their sons Lincoln and Lieland; and Haylee (Bryce) Muller and their son Baker. Bob is also survived by his sister Patricia (Don) Martin; and nieces Kim Bueso and Kris Dougherty.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honoring the family’s wishes, a celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
