Bruce Allen Cram (Crambo)

Bruce was born in Ishpeming to Robert and Jeanette (Haines) Cram. He was a true Yooper raised on Midway Drive in Negaunee Township who grew up to be a hard-working family man. He hung up his trowel after 32 years in the BAC Union as a Bricklayer. Bruce took pride in the work he completed across the Upper Peninsula and surrounding areas. He would often travel around, pointing out structures he completed while highlighting his favorite moments. Some of his most talked about jobs included the Superior Dome, Northern Michigan University, and the prison in Kinross. He would pass by stone walls he constructed, proudly gleaming over the funny faces or images he had created. Bruce always had a sense of humor and loved to play jokes on folks around the job site.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring the woods on his recreational vehicles. Bruce also spent time hunting for mushrooms, frying fresh caught Salmon for family and friends, as well as getting lost on countless fishing excursions. Bruce treasured time spent at deer camp and was the best golden marshmallow roaster this side of the Mississippi River. He tried to make a living as a pool shark in local bars, but found his time was better spent brewing a weak pot of morning coffee. Bruce frequented the casinos, hoping to win millions on a five dollar hand of blackjack, but never struck it rich. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the movies.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of nearly 46 years, Victoria Zaborowske; his three darling children: Lisa Cram & Bradley Mattson, Bruce Jr. & Amy (Little) Cram, and Jessica Cram; his charming grandchildren: Wil Cram, Keagan Cram, and Lily Aho-Cram; his kind hearted mother: Jeanette Cram; his three delightful brothers and in-laws: Robert Cram Jr., Ronald Cram & Tim Specker, and Donald & Kerrie Cram, and Crystal Cram, Gerri Ann & William (Zaborowske) Kangas, Gerald & Michelle Zaborowske, Lisa Zaborowske, John & Melanie Zaborowske as well as many other close relatives.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Robert Walter Cram, his youngest brother, Jeffrey Scott Cram, Walter Cram, Katherine & Henry (Cram) Rushford, Garnet & Thelma Haines, his wise old Uncle Petey, Gerald & Doris ‘Betty’ (LaChance) Zaborowske, his partner in crime, William Vincent Zaborowske, Justin David Elrite, Tina Lynn Aho, as well as his jack of all trades, best friend, James Leslie Korpi Jr.

Bruce’s family would like to express gratitude to his nephew Robert Cram III for his ice fishing days, to his besties Brock Rogers and Samuel Jones for fulfilling his last wishes of fishing, hunting, hot saunas, wild bonfires, and all the secret casino trips. Thank you to dear friends and family for their decades of Love, Laughter, and Friendship as well as the care teams: Cancer Team at City of Hope, Zion, Illinois, UPHP Cancer Management and ICU Team, U.P. Home Health & Hospice-Choose the Angel, Marquette, Michigan. Honoring Bruce’s final wishes, his loving family will be conducting a burial ceremony at Bakala Cemetery on M-35 in Gwinn on Sunday, July 5, 2026 followed by Celebration of Life festivities, potluck lunch, and firework show at his personal residence on Pike Lake.
