Bradley John (B.J.) Roberts

B.J. was born October 21, 1953 in Marquette to John and Beverly (Mager) Roberts. He was a graduate of Trenton High School, class of 1971. He attended Henry Ford College and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Michigan University. He spent most of his working life in Detroit, the surrounding areas, and eventually retired from Ford Motor Company as a quality control engineer. During retirement, B.J. enjoyed being a member of the Negaunee Rod & Gun Club, where he was active teaching the use of firearms. He also enjoyed volunteering, especially for the American Red Cross and at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans.

Surviving are his son, John T. (Shelese) Roberts of Lafayette, Colorado; his daughter, Tracey Groom of Ortonville, his father, Wm. John of Marquette; and seven grandchildren: William John, Julian, Ava, Thomas, and John Roberts, and Keira and Tristan Groom.

He was preceded in death by his mother Beverly in 2020.

A Rosary Prayer Service will begin at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Cathedral on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brandon Oman officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
