Patricia Ley

The daughter of William F. McGee and Elsie G. Fassbender was born June 27, 1929 in Marquette, Michigan. She was a graduate of Bishop Baraga High School in Marquette, Michigan. Patricia was united in marriage to Joseph L. Ley on August 16, 1952 at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Marquette, MI. Patricia worked with Joe to grow Statewide Insurance Company in Green Bay for 55 years while raising her family. Patricia was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere. She enjoyed time with her family, collecting her Hummel figurines, gardening, canning, sailing, camping, Seroogys, and traveling south for the winter. Her family was so important to her, and she loved them dearly.

She will be deeply missed by her children: Kathleen (the late John Norback) Ley and their son, Sebastian Norback (fiance Taylor Gilbertson); Jane (John) Gutschow and their children: Derek Gutschow, Mathew (Danica) Gutschow, and Teddi Gutschow (special friend Brandon Beech); Nancy (Perry) Lindquist and their children: Brandon (Jasmine) Lindquist, Kenton (Maddie) Lindquist, and Todd Lindquist (special friend Madi Engen); the late Joseph F. Ley (special friend Karleen Cross) their daughter, KaCie Ley (special friend Austin Degroot); Michael (Cathy) Ley and their children: Andrew (Laura) Ley, Adam (Nicole) Ley, and Aubrey (Kyle) Wiegel; David (Jackie) Ley and their sons: Patrick (special friend Maya Holiman) and Parker Ley; great grandchildren, Ayden, Anthony and Addy Gutschow; Tori and Wyatt Gutschow; Robin Lindquist; Harper and Calvin Ley; Griffin Ley and Clarke Wiegel; her brother Chuck McGee; her sister-in-law Alice Waco; and her many nieces and nephews; as well as other family and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; her dear daughter, Marilyn A. Ley; her dear son, Joseph F. Ley; her mother and father, William and Elsie McGee; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Mary Ley; her dear sisters, Mary Ann Horal and Alice Tyler, her dear brothers, Jim Mc Gee and Bill Mc Gee; her brothers-in-law Paul Horal, Dick Tyler, Don Ley; her sisters-in-law Mary Mc Gee, Evelyn Mc Gee, Helen Flanagan and Anne Ley; as well as other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Cotter Funeral Home 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, WI from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with a prayer service to end the evening. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 27, 2025 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, WI from 9:30am to 10:45am until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am with Fr. Mike Ingold officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere, WI.
