Jean C. Kinsey
PASCO CO., FL/MICHIGAMME, MI- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean C. Kinsey (nee Krummi), who departed this life on December 3, 2024 at the age of 88 while in Florida. She passed away after a courageous battle with MDS.
Jean was valedictorian of her high school class, a testament to her intelligence and determination. She moved to Chicago where she met and married the love of her life, Wendell ‘Curley’ Kinsey.
Together, they built a beautiful family: Jeffrey (Suzanne), Glenda, and Wendy (Jim). Jean was a proud grandmother to Kristen, Mike, Erin, Hunter and Mara, as well as a loving great-grandmother to Tyler and Tanner. She also leaves behind her sister, Karen.
Jean was preceded in death by her grandson Hunter, parents Eleanor and Edwin, and brother Dale.
Jean enjoyed a successful career before retiring to Michigamme. Family was the heart of her life and she found joy in simple pleasures. She treasured Tuesdays with the Michigamme Area Seniors, enjoying dinners and card games.
Jean will be remembered for her quiet strength, devotion to family, and for countless beautiful memories.
There will be a celebration of life for Jean at the Michigamme Township Building on Saturday, June 28th from 11:30 am until 1 pm, with a light lunch served.
