Anthony Chandler

TRENARY MI-Anthony ‘Tony’ Douglas Chandler 43, passed away Monday June 16, 2025, at a hospital in Detroit Michigan, after a long illness. Tony had been residing in Port Ste. Lucie, Florida, before returning to Michigan for treatment. Tony was born on February 23, 1982, in Ishpeming, Michigan, to Tina L. Locke (Copley) and Douglas B. Chandler.
Anthony obtained his GED while attending school in Gwinn Michigan. He attended Fox Valley Tech School in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where he earned his degree in aircraft maintenance and acquired his FAA airframe and powerplant certification. His first job was in Hawaii working on tour helicopters. He transferred back to the mainland during Covid and worked for Virgin Galactic in Las Cruces New Mexico for a number of years. He then accepted a position with Life Star Air Methods of Stuart in Florida.
Anthony enjoyed working with his hands and solving problems. His hobby of wood working using hand tools and modern wood caring devices made him happy. He used these skills to renovate the house he owned in Las Cruces and returned the home to its original condition. Anthony also enjoyed video games and talking about them with his cousins and friends.
He is survived by his parents Tina L Locke (Danny) and Doug B Chandler (Karen), sister Marsha A. Clark (Ben), step-sister Dove Rule, and step-brother Rex (Nicole) Rule. Several nieces and nephews Christan Clark, Noble Clark, Meadow Sepke, Jack Rule, Willow Rule. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Anthony is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Lawrence and Katherine Copley, paternal grandparents Elmore and Wanda Chandler, great grandparents Lawrence and Martha Copley, Aunt & Uncle Kathy Lynn and Mike Williams, step-brother Jeff Locke, step-grandparents Edward and Beverly Tromley.
Services will be held at Harvey Baptist Church, 224 Silver Creek Road, Marquette, Michigan, on Saturday July 12, 2025. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Service begins at 12 Noon. Luncheon afterwards
