Steve Greenleaf

HARVEY, MI-Steve Arnold Greenleaf, 62, of Harvey, died Monday, May 19, 2025.
Steve was born November 22, 1962, in Marquette, a son of Eugene A. and Nancy J. (Beaudry) Greenleaf. He attended Marquette Senior High School and was a lifelong area resident.
Steve worked in various trades throughout his life. In his youth, Steve played basketball and Little League baseball. Steve was a talented artist and had a rare gift for pencil drawing. He was also known for his ability to construct intricate detailed structures using thousands of toothpicks. Steve was very proud of his artwork and gifted numerous pieces to family friends throughout the years. Steve was also a master mechanic, which he learned from his father while tinkering for hours in the garage. He also found pleasure in morel mushroom hunting, which he was very good at it! But out of all the things he enjoyed, it was fishing on the mouth of Chocolay River with his mother.
Steve is survived by his children, Steve Greenleaf, Kelsie and Joshua Christunas; three grandchildren; Jocelynn, Declan and Owen. Siblings, Eugene (Lori) Greenleaf, Judith (Kim) Tyner, Tina (Gary) Peterson and Pamela Greenleaf; special niece, Emily Hedmark (who he recently gifted his art portfolio to), and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Geraldine.
A private family graveside service will be held. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
