NEGAUNEE, MI-Shirley Ann Terzaghi, 94, of Negaunee, entered eternal life Monday afternoon, May 12, 2025 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.
Shirley was born January 26, 1931 in Palmer to Eino and Anna (Talus) Harmala and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1948. She married the late John Terzaghi on January 8, 1955 and they raised their family in Negaunee.
Shirley was employed as a seamstress at the HW Gossard for several years. She was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church and a life member of the Negaunee VFW Auxiliary. Shirley loved cooking and cleaning, playing BINGO, and was a selfless volunteer. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters: Clelia, Julie (Gary) Landis of California, Marcia (Jack) Urstadt of Oregon and Renee (Wayne) Kunnari of Negaunee; two sons: Kevin (Kathy) Terzaghi of Marquette and Michael (Joan) Terzaghi of Gwinn; grandchildren: Nicole (David) Mahaffey, Ryan (Amber) Terzaghi, Joshua (April) Larson, Britney (Randall) Rovelsky, David (Erin) Terzaghi, Annie (Charles) Adkins, Natalie Landis, Johnny Urstadt, Erin Urstadt and Jacob Kunnari; great-grandchildren: Emma, Lincoln, Haddie, Jillian, Cameron, Karlee, Brianna, Bray, Brookelyn, Devyn, Ezra, Elois, Isla, Isabelle, Claire and Dominic; two brothers: Arthur and James (Barbara) Harmala; special uncle, Werner Talus of Minnesota; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John in 1998; and two sisters-in-law, Clelia Terzaghi and Pam Harmala.
Shirley’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the MCMCF staff for their wonderful care provided.
Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 am on Thursday, May 15th at Koskey Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:30 am, Rev. Bre Kinnunen will officiate. Burial will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery.
