Leonard Perrin, Jr.

KAUKAUNA, WI- Leonard Joseph “Joe” Perrin passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, in Kaukauna, WI, at the age of 86, surrounded by his family.

Born on a chilly day, January 7, 1939, in Marquette, MI, Joe embraced life with a heart full of adventure and a spirit that radiated warmth to all who knew him.

Joe was a man of many hats. He served his country in the United States Army, with a memorable stint stationed at Fort Jonathan M. Wainwright in Alaska. After hanging up his uniform, Joe found his calling in West Allis, Wisconsin on delivery routes and behind the bar. He spent years bringing joy to homes via Steinhafels furniture deliveries and served up both drinks and stories at Town Bar and Stingers. And let’s not forget his love affair with the Wisconsin State Fair, an event he never missed, and a place where his social spirit truly sparkled.

Married to his beloved Loretta (nee Metrish) in 1970, Joe shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship for over four decades. Together, they cherished annual retreats to his birthplace, Marquette, MI, often accompanied by his life-long best friend Jim “Alphonse” LaFond and his wife Kaye. Whether it was revisiting old haunts or making new memories, Joe’s fun-loving and adventurous nature shone brightly.

Joe was an active soul, forever invested in his community. He honored the legacy of his fellow veterans through consistent involvement in the American Legion, championing camaraderie and service. Whatever the occasion, he loved people and gathered joy from socializing, turning strangers into friends, and laughter into an echo that lasts forever.

He now reunites with his adored wife, Loretta “Lori” Perrin, who preceded him in death.

Joe leaves behind his loving sister, Margaret Elhart (Ken). His life and legacy were also sculpted by those who went before him, including his dear brother Donald “Ducky” Perrin, and his devoted parents, Margaret and Leonard Perrin.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the friends and caretakers at Care Partners of Kaukauna for their unwavering support, especially Ornella, Brittney, Tori, Rachelle, Marlene and Betsy. A special thank you to Kelly Czaplewski, Nancy Callan and Carrie Kalk for their exceptional guidance, care and support. Joe’s legacy of laughter and warmth will live on in every heart he touched.
