Ronald Boyd

Ronald was born on February 20, 1942, in Hazel Park, Michigan, to Roy and Marjorie (Tinckell) Boyd. He grew up in Marquette and graduated from Graveraet High School with the Class of 1959. On August 19, 1961, he married the love of his life, Marie Buck, and together they built a life filled with love and adventure.

Ronald began his career in retail management with F.W. Woolworth Co., a job that took him to various places across the United States. He dedicated 20 years to Woolworth before retiring and working in various other roles. Eventually, he returned to Marquette, the place he always considered home.

A man of many passions, Ronald enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling, but above all, he cherished the time spent with his family. He was a caring, funny, and kind-hearted gentleman who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His warmth, humor, and devotion to his loved ones will be deeply missed.

Ronald is survived by his children, Colleen Marie Boyd and Kenneth R. Boyd, both of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Sandra Lemire of Santa Cruz CA; his niece, April Cruz of Santa Cruz California; and his nephew, David Paulick of Santa Cruz California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Marie and Brother; Gerald Boyd.

Honoring Ronald’s request, no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, 131 West Washington Street Suite C, Marquette, MI 49855.
