Suzan Lyons

She was born November 4, 1946, in Marquette, a daughter of James J. and Florence (Naslund) Lyons. She was a 1964 graduate of Bishop Baraga High School and attended Bryant & Stratton College of Milwaukee.

Susan worked briefly at a cardiologist office in Milwaukee before returning to Marquette. She was employed for many years as an administrative aide at various medical practices at the Marquette Medical Center before retiring in 2011.

She was a devoted member of St. Peter Cathedral where she volunteered in various capacities. He friends & family were very important to her. She enjoyed spending time with her uncle Ray Naslund and his family over the years and entertaining at her home. She also loved the cats she had through the years, especially her last, Cooper.

Susan is survived by aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and several special and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Raymond.

Susan’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Murray’s Country View and UP Health System Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 12 Noon at St. Peter Cathedral with Rev. Brandon Oman officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UPAWS or St. Peter Cathedral.
