Jack Rowe

MINNEAPOLIS: Jack Charles Rowe, age 71 passed away from sepsis on August 28, 2024 at North Memorial Health-Robbinsdale Hospital-Robbinsdale, Minnesota. His family would like to express their gratitude for the attention and excellent care given to Jack.
He was born on August 5th, 1953 in Ironwood, Michigan to Richard (Dick) and Muriel Rowe. He lived with his family in Ishpeming, Michigan.
In 2004, Jack met and married Laurie Burmeister, but lost her in 2014 to complications of diabetes.
He is also preceded in death by his parents.
Jack is survived by his sister, Lauren Flack of Mason, Michigan and his brothers: Bruce Rowe (Conni) of Middleton, WI, Robert (Debbie) Rowe of Ishpeming, MI, Brian Rowe(Norm) of Chicago, IL He has nieces and nephews in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas and North Carolina. .
After graduating from Ishpeming High School in 1971, Jack worked in interesting and fun jobs related to each of his three bachelors degrees; one in music and speech communications from Northern Michigan University, a second in Food Service and Culinary Management, and after moving to Minneapolis in 1996, his third, in Addiction Counseling from Metro State University. He worked at Hazelden/Betty Ford in Minneapolis until retirement.
Before his excellent care at Hope Resident and then The Residence at Northridge in New Hope Minnesota., Jack enjoyed a full and busy life. He was a member at Serenity Village Community Church, where he performed at many celebrations and in later life, helped with custodial work.
A private family release of ashes will be held at a later time. Memorials may be made to Jack’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
We honor Jack’s memory and cherish his spirit. May his love and zest for life live on through all of us who knew and loved him throughout his years among us. He will be missed.
