Ann Kaufman Jordan
GRASS VALLEY, CA- Ann Kaufman Jordan, 82, of Grass Valley, California, passed away on June 13, 2024. She was born to the late Ruth Jones and Young Kaufman of Marquette, Michigan.
Ann’s academic journey led her to the University of Arizona, where she earned her Master’s in Education. Her dedication was evident in her studies and her role as a devoted mother and wife.
Ann’s love for her family and friends was her greatest passion and delight. She held dear her Marquette childhood and the memories it held. In 1963, she married the love of her life, James Phillip Jordan and they embarked on a journey that took them to Arizona, Kansas City, Colorado, Ohio, and finally, Grass Valley, California, where they lived for 32 years before moving to Bozeman Montana to be with her children. Ann’s love for interior design and entertaining reflected her warm and welcoming nature.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years.
She is survived by three children: James Young Jordan, Jacqueline Jordan Sikoski, and Christopher Scott Jordan; her three grandchildren; her brother, Peter Kaufman; and many other loving relatives and close friends.
Ann’s wish was for an intimate burial and funeral. The family is grateful to all those who cared for her during her last days. For those who wish to pay their respects and celebrate Ann’s life, her services will be held at the Kaufman Family Mausoleum in Park Cemetery on Saturday, September 7th at 2 p.m.
