MARQUETTE, MI- Michael Alvin Demarest, 57, of Marquette, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 29, 2024 under the care of Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice and the heavenly gates that opened for him after a long battle with kidney failure.
Mike was born on May 10, 1967 to Alvin and Bertha (Prater) Demarest. He was raised in Naubinway and the Marquette area.
Mike was well known for his kindness, politeness and sense of humor. He enjoyed socializing and spending time with his friends and family. Mike will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Mike is survived by his father, Alvin Demarest of Gwinn, MI; siblings, Milton Demarest of Marquette, Vicki Perry of Traverse City, MI and Debra Demarest of Marquette; and nephews, Joseph Perry of Traverse City and Brandon Daugherty of Ishpeming. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Demarest.
A private family burial will take place at a future date at the Brevort Township Cemetery in Brevort, MI.
