Timothy Black

Timmy was born on July 27, 1965 in Marquette to Thomas G. Black and Diane (Fluette) Black.

He was a 1983 graduate of Marquette Senior High School. Following graduation, Timmy served in the United States Navy, serving aboard a nuclear submarine. After the Navy, he worked for American Appliances, doing repairs and deliveries, for several years. After leaving American, he met his first wife, Chris. He became a member of Union Local 127, of Heat and Frost Insulators. After many years together, he and Chris divorced. He then began traveling, extensively, as a Union Insulator. It was during this time, he met his second wife, Rachel.

Timmy enjoyed watching Jeopardy, loved a good debate with his friends and family, was an avid Packer fan and loved his many dogs he had, throughout the years.

Timmy is survived by his brothers, Randy (Denise LaJoye) Black, Brian Black and Tommy (Janette) Black, all of Marquette; step-father, Neal “Buster” Alexander of Marquette; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas G. Black; his mother, Diane Alexander; second wife, Rachel Black; and many extended family members.

No formal services will be held.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UPAWS, in Timmy’s memory, 815 South State Hwy M553, Gwinn, MI 49841.
