Thomas and Ella Belmore

MCHENRY, IL- Thomas Robert Belmore, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, at his home in McHenry, IL. Born on December 30, 1970, in Marquette, MI, to parents Robert Belmore and Cheryl Bergh.

Thomas’s legacy is carried on by his loving wife of 21 years, He is also survived by his devoted parents, Robert (Freda) Belmore and Cheryl (Chuck)Beaudry; sister, Leanne (Brett) LaBine; brother, Brian (Sarah) Belmore, Niece: Chelse LaBine

Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Ella, who was not only his child but also his fishing buddy and creative companion. His father-in-law, James DeBlois; his much-loved cousin, Scott Hassell; his grandparents; Norman and Wanda Gustafson, and Robert and Faye Belmore.

A man of many interests, Thomas found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman who relished time spent at hunting camp, fishing, chasing deer and the warmth of the Sun. Tom holds the camp record of the oldest Deer at 12 ¢ years old. An artist at heart, Thomas spent many Saturdays creating art with his daughter Ella. She would pick the subject and they would work together for hours to create their masterpieces. When he would work on his sculptures made from found objects, his creative eye shone through.

In his younger years, Tom was a happy go lucky kid that loved everything. He was very adventurous and a thrill seeker. Tommy Loved, Baseball, Wrestling, Skiing, Snowboarding with jumps, Skateboarding, Biking, Parasailing. Fishing, Hunting, Horseshoes and anything that presented a challenge: Tom was a people person and well liked. Tom’s little Girl, Ella was his pride and joy.

Those who knew Thomas would describe him as a loving man who put the needs of others before his own. His quick wit could keep you laughing for hours. His creative soul shone through his art, his ideas, and his ability to see the beauty in the world around him.

Thomas’s life was a beautiful canvas, painted with the colors of his love, laughter, and generosity. He has left behind a masterpiece of memories that will be cherished by all who were part of his life’s journey
