Nancy Ann Crawford

Nancy was born July 17, 1955, in Marquette, to Vernon Francis and Phyllis Catherine (Winslow) Crawford. From an early age, she possessed an outgoing personality and throughout the years many were touched by her infectious smile and loving ways. With an uncomplicated approach to life, Nancy met many challenges during her lifetime. In doing so, she also taught many people about the attributes of acceptance, tolerance, and love. She loved the holidays, especially her birthday, loved to open presents, loved to sing and answer the phone. She loved her stuffed animals, dollars, coffee, going to McDonalds, coloring, getting mail, treasured her watches, and her favorite of favorites, RED BALLOONS! However, she was not a pushover, for when she pointed with her right forefinger to make a point, her sometimes stubborn and sassy side came out. For 18 years, Nancy resided at the Norwood Adult Learning Systems home where her special needs were addressed and she made many friends, adding to the quality of her life.

Nancy is survived by her sisters, Linda McFarland, Pattie (Robert) Mercure, and Kathleen (Michele) Keller; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don McFarland; and grandparents, William Leroy and Reba (McClusky) Winslow and Richard Francis Melton Crawford and Mary Lucille (Kennedy) Crawford.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services on Monday, July 8, beginning at 10:30 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Rev. Kevin Taylor will officiate. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room. Interment will be made at Northland Chapel Gardens following the luncheon.
