MARQUETTE, MI – June E. Meyers, 97, of Marquette, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee.
She was born July 10, 1926, in Hancock, Michigan, a daughter of the late Theodore and Minnie (Tervo) Hella.
June worked as a nurse’s aide at Norlite Nursing Center for 20 years until her retirement on December 1, 1995. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Coats of Marquette; grandchildren, Daniel Coats (Tina Johnson-Herbold) and Diana (Eric) Miller; great-grandchildren, Mallory & Sydney Coats and Danica Miller; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Weldon, Elwood and Roy Hella and beloved dog, Daisy Mae.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 12 Noon at Park Cemetery.
