William J. Jorns

William was born on June 25, 1939 in Marquette, MI to Bernard and Frederika (Yungbluth) Jorns. He was a 1957 graduate of Bishop Baraga High School. William received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Northern Michigan University and educational specialist degree from Wayne State University. He had a long career on staff at Oakland University from 1968 to 1996.

William was an avid hockey player and fan. He also enjoyed photography and especially photographing the outdoors. William is survived by his two children, David W. Jorns of Negaunee and Danielle R. (Tom) Sielatycki of Portage, MI; two grandchildren, Jack and Lucy Mae Sielatycki. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Joanne Segel and Connie Roose.
