Terry L. Steen

Terry was born on March 14, 1943 in Marquette to Lloyd and Viola (Johnson) Steen. He attended Graveraet High School. He then went into the Navy in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1964.

Terry married the former Marilyn A. Dillinger on January 22, 1966 in Marquette.

Terry worked for the LS&I Railroad for 5 years and then was employed with Cleveland-Cliffs/Empire Mine for 30 years until his retirement.

Terry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn Steen of Marquette; daughter, Terri Lynn (Greg) Carriere of Whitelaw, WI; grandchildren, Christin (Patrick) Collier, Alyssa (Richie) Anderson, Nicholas Carriere and fiancee Abby; great-grandchildren, Maverick and Joslyn Anderson; siblings, Darlene (Russell) Webb, Sharon Koski and Randy Steen; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents,

Terry was preceded in death by a son, Richard “Rick”, and a brother, Duane Steen.

Per Terry’s request no formal services will be held.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Terry’s name to Michigan Veteran Homes DJ Jacobetti Charitable Support Fund, 425 Fisher St., Marquette, MI 49855.
