Stephen Lee Revord

TULARE, CA- Stephen Lee Revord age 79, of Tulare, California passed away surrounded by family on May 20, 2024.

Born on April 4, 1945, in Marquette, Michigan, Steve was the beloved son of Fredrick Revord and Angeline Myrtle Dionne, both of Marquette, Michigan. Steve loved his family and enjoyed a close, lifelong relationship with his siblings. he kept them close to his heart for the entirety of his life.

Steve’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his work . He spent his life working as a machinist and was well known in the community as a small engine mechanic. There wasn’t a single thing that Steve couldn’t fix; his skill and dedication were unmatched. He was a hard working man and was rarely ever without a project. Even as he aged and his health made working more difficult he truly never slowed down.

In addition to his career, Steve proudly served his country as a sergeant in the Marine Corps from 1963 to 1966, including 13 months in Chu Lai, Vietnam.

Steve was a quiet man who rarely gave his opinion unless asked, but he was the best listener anyone could ask for– often offering a kind ear to those he loved. He was gentle and good natured. His quiet kindness made him a beloved friend to all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife Jane and their children, Paula Thrasher (Andy). and Steven Revord (Andrea) He was a proud grandfather to Alan Thrasher (Ashley), Holden Revord (Erica), Taylor Green (Joshua), and Alyssa Revord. Steve cherished his 12 great-grandchildren: AnnaLee, Cohen, Jace, Bentley, Blake, Mila, Amara, Paige, Logan, Adrian, Adam, and Kemery.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Don, Gary, Karen, Al, Dale, Angel, and Rose

Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be dearly missed and always remembered for the lasting impression he made on all who were lucky enough to be loved by him.

A funeral service will be held on June 10th at Sterling and Smith Funeral home at 409 N K St Tulare, California, from 2pm-4pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Steve’s life.
