Jean Marie Schlemm

Born November 28, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of William and Gloria (Piper) Perron, Jean was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Bay View High School in 1965. She married Steven Schlemm and shortly thereafter the couple moved to Norway, Michigan where they began raising a family. The family later moved back to Milwaukee and a subsequent move came when Jean, now a single mother, moved to Marquette to provide a better life for her children. For many years, Jean was employed as a bank teller until her retirement on April 10, 2004. In her leisure time, Jean enjoyed quilting, word puzzles, gardening, and especially spending time with her family, particularly the grandchildren. Additionally, Jean was known by family and friends as being a dedicated best friend who was loving, caring, always having and making time for people. She was an amazing woman and a wonderful mother.

Jean is survived by her children, Lisa Schlemm and Wayne (Lisa Johnson) Schlemm both of Marquette; five grandchildren; a brother; and her aunt, Terry Wright-Wilson of Marquette. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister; and former husband, Steven Schlemm.

Honoring her request, private family services will be held.
